Description

Bovi-Shield® GOLD BVD, developed by Zoetis, is a freeze-dried, modified-live virus vaccine formulated to protect healthy cattle against respiratory disease and viremia caused by BVD virus Types 1 and 2. When administered subcutaneously, it provides a demonstrated duration of immunity of at least 9 months. This vaccine is safe for use in pregnant cows and calves nursing pregnant cows, provided the dams were vaccinated according to label directions with any Bovi-Shield GOLD FP® or PregGuard® GOLD FP vaccine within the past 12 months. Calves vaccinated before 6 months should be revaccinated after 6 months or at weaning. Annual revaccination is recommended. The vaccine requires reconstitution with the provided sterile diluent before administration. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Store at 2°–7°C (35°–45°F) and avoid freezing.
