Bovi-Shield® GOLD IBR-BVD, developed by Zoetis, is a comprehensive vaccine formulated to safeguard healthy cattle against respiratory diseases caused by infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) and bovine viral diarrhea (BVD) Types 1 and 2. This modified-live virus vaccine is safe for use in pregnant cows and calves nursing pregnant cows, provided the dams were vaccinated according to label directions with any Bovi-Shield GOLD FP® or PregGuard® GOLD FP vaccine within the past 12 months. Administer a single 2 mL dose either subcutaneously or intramuscularly. A duration of immunity of at least 9 months has been demonstrated when administered subcutaneously. Calves vaccinated before 6 months of age should be revaccinated after 6 months or at weaning. Annual revaccination is recommended. Observe a 21-day slaughter withdrawal period post-vaccination.
