    Bovi-Shield® IBR is a modified-live virus vaccine developed by Zoetis to protect healthy, nonpregnant cattle against respiratory disease caused by infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) virus. Suitable for beef and dairy cattle, it offers at least 9 months of immunity. Administer a single 2 mL dose subcutaneously or intramuscularly. Observe a 21-day meat withdrawal period.

    Description

    Bovi-Shield® IBR is a freeze-dried, modified-live virus vaccine formulated to protect healthy, nonpregnant cattle against respiratory disease caused by the infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) virus. Developed by Zoetis, this vaccine is suitable for both beef and dairy cattle, including calves nursing pregnant cows, provided their dams were vaccinated within the past 12 months with any Bovi-Shield GOLD® FP® or PregGuard® GOLD FP® vaccine. Administer a single 2 mL dose either subcutaneously or intramuscularly. A duration of immunity of at least 9 months has been demonstrated. Note: Do not administer to pregnant cows or lactating dairy cows. A 21-day meat withdrawal period is required post-vaccination. Always consult a veterinarian for appropriate vaccination protocols and ensure proper handling and storage of the vaccine.
