    LincoMed® 100 (lincomycin injection) is a prescription antibiotic formulated for swine. It contains 100 mg/mL of lincomycin hydrochloride and is administered intramuscularly. It is indicated for the treatment of infectious arthritis and Mycoplasma pneumonia.

    Description

    LincoMed® 100 is an FDA-approved injectable antibiotic designed for use in swine. It contains lincomycin hydrochloride, an antibiotic from Streptomyces lincolnensis, effective against organisms responsible for infectious arthritis and Mycoplasma pneumonia. The recommended dosage is 1 mL per 20 lbs of body weight, administered intramuscularly once daily for three to seven days, as needed. Swine intended for human consumption should not be slaughtered within 48 hours of the latest treatment. Use of LincoMed® 100 is contraindicated in animals previously found to be hypersensitive to the drug. Not for use in swine weighing 300 pounds or more.
