    Description

    Sulfadimethoxine 12.5% Oral Solution is a concentrated, broad-spectrum antibiotic designed to treat bacterial and coccidial infections in farm animals such as cattle, poultry, pigs, and sheep. This solution is administered orally, either through drinking water or as a drench, making it suitable for both individual treatments and mass medication of herds or flocks. It effectively combats diseases like shipping fever, bacterial pneumonia, calf diphtheria, foot rot, coccidiosis, fowl cholera, and infectious coryza. The recommended dosage for cattle is 25 mg/lb on the first day, followed by 12.5 mg/lb/day for the next four days. One gallon of the solution can treat up to 19,200 lbs of body weight on the initial dose and 38,400 lbs on the maintenance dose. It is important to adhere to withdrawal periods: 7 days for cattle and 5 days for poultry before slaughter.
