Description

Aspen Povidine Iodine Scrub 7.5% (1 Gallon) is a potent antiseptic formulated for veterinary applications. Containing 7.5% povidone-iodine (equivalent to 0.75% available iodine), it effectively reduces microbial load on the skin, making it suitable for preoperative and postoperative skin washing, as well as routine antiseptic cleansing. The scrub also effectively treats bacterial and fungal skin infections, including cuts, scratches, abrasions, and burns. Its non-staining properties ensure it won't discolor skin, hair, or natural fabrics. For surgical hand scrubbing, apply approximately 5 mL to hands and forearms, scrub thoroughly for 2½ to 3 minutes without adding water, then rinse. For preoperative skin preparation, apply 1 mL to cover 20–30 square inches, lather, scrub for about 5 minutes, rinse with sterile gauze, and the area may then be painted with a povidone-iodine solution and allowed to dry.
