    Atopica® (cyclosporine modified) 100 mg capsules provide targeted immunosuppressive therapy for dogs suffering from atopic dermatitis. Suitable for dogs weighing at least 4 lbs and aged 6 months or older, Atopica addresses the root causes of allergic skin conditions by modulating the immune response. The recommended initial dosage is 5 mg/kg administered once daily for 30 days, followed by a tapering schedule based on the dog's response. It's essential to administer Atopica at least one hour before or two hours after meals to ensure optimal absorption. Common side effects may include vomiting, diarrhea, and gingival hyperplasia. Due to its immunosuppressive nature, Atopica should not be used in dogs with a history of neoplasia or hypersensitivity to cyclosporine.
