    Clonidine HCL tablets are primarily used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) by stimulating alpha-2 adrenergic receptors in the brain. This action reduces the amount of norepinephrine released by nerve endings, leading to decreased sympathetic nervous system activity, which in turn lowers blood pressure.
